Who We Are & Why We Play

The Pheonix were raised from the ashes of Burderop Bombers (formerly Halcrow Havoc and Burderop Bears) league team. While the Bombers continue to complete in tournaments around the country, representing Swindon, the remaining Bombers players were joined by new players post-covid to form the new Swindon Development League team.

Our History

Teams from Burderop Park have competed in the Swindon Softball League since its inception. Though Burderop Park is no longer a softball venue, the team lives on, now in the form of the Bombers tournament team and the Pheonix Development team.

What The Future Holds

After a competitive first season in the Development League, including some mail-biting finishes and a one-point win in the Development league’s inaugural game, the Pheonix hope to continue being a difficult opponent for the Development teams and to set the field alight!
