It’s been an action-packed week at Swindon Softball League. Wednesday saw a double-header to start the Swindon Softball League season, with Spitfires facing Aries and Cubs versus Terrahawks (a repeat fixture of last year’s season opener). Spitfires looked particularly strong out the gate this year with a high powered offence that beat the scoreboard into submission! Cubs won a very close game, just managing to get a third out with Terrahawks’ winning run on-base.

On Thursday night, the Development Division season opener placed Phoenix against Hurricanes … another very close game that saw Phoenix score the winning run in the final innings, on two outs.
